About the Role:
Sefi Fabricators is looking for a skilled Amada Press Brake Operator to join our team in Amityville, NY. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment where precision and craftsmanship are valued every day.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate Amada press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate part production
- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures for each job
- Perform quality checks and inspections using precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions
- Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and consistent output
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop safety standards
- Identify and troubleshoot machine or production issues to minimize downtime
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating Amada press brake equipment in a production environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and material properties
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced shop
- Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures
